Battery Man by Aleka Timog

Yesterday we went to Assembly and we were listening to Mr Nevezie.  He told us about batteries and there's this guy from Battery World who spoke to us.  He said to collect any old batteries because there's chemical in them.  Then he said the school will have a competition.  After that Mrs Cater was talking to us and she told us about putting the rubbish in the correct bin.  Some people put it in the wrong bin.  Then Mrs Eeles told us don't put rubbish in the water because it will be dirty.  Some fish will die if we keep putting rubbish in the water.  We got the big bags so we could collect the old batteries.  Then we went back to our classroom.

Collecting Batteries is a good idea because now we have somewhere to send our old batteries. Its good that the school, Stanhope Road School, is encouraging students to be environmental friendly by encouraging them to put rubbish in the bins.
